Vintage Imperial Carnival Glass Aurora Jewels Everglades Paw Footed Console Set. A Console Set was simply a bowl and two candleholders which could be used on a Console table but more often was in the center of a dinning table.

This original set is in near mint condition. It has never been displayed and was stored in a smoke free, pet free, climate controlled environment.

There are no chips, cracks, or repairs noted on any of the 3 pieces. Are still intact on both the bowl and one of the candle holders from the set.

The finish is outstanding with a deep and vibrant rainbow effect. They are all in fabulous pristine condition. The bowl is 10 x 10 x 5 inches and the candle holders are 4 x 4 x 3 inches. These moulds were Cambridge Glass originally and they were part of the Everglade line.

It is frosted then the metallic carnival spray is added creating this very rich finish. These particular items were made for only a few years - between 1971 - 1972. Aurora Jewels was made by Imperial from June 1970 until April 1972. Please see full description, from the book "Imperial Glass Encyclopedia" by The National Imperial Glass Collectors' Society, Edited by James Measell, in the last picture in this ad. It is a very heavy set, weighing 6 lb. And requires a 12x11x13 box. There needs to be adequate protection to prevent breakage as well. We use bubble wrap, peanuts, tissue paper and boxes big enough to keep the items safe and secure. When your item arrives, PLEASE do not rush and open it up immediately.

Let the box adjust to the room temperature of your home/office, etc. For about an hour or so, then open it. Changes can affect vintage glass and porcelain and so allowing your package to come to room temperature before opening it is a wise idea especially during the very cold winter months and the very hot summer months.
