Rare Antique Green Carnival Glass Vintage Grape Leaf Pattern Bowl Dugan Fenton

Presenting a superb antique green carnival glass bowl in the appealing Vintage Grape and Leaf pattern. This elegantly shaped piece is beautifully decorated with a relief pattern featuring 4 grape clusters and 5 leaves hanging from a vine which stylishly surrounds a central leaf. The underside of the bowl features a paneled pattern while the base is finished with a starburst / compass. This piece stands proudly upon a squat collared base while an elegant scalloped saw tooth rim perfectly completes this superb example.

Unusually this piece features 4 clusters of hanging grape bunches as opposed to the 5 that would generally be seen on Fenton 6 bowls, so it has left us a little baffled as to the maker. We can only surmise this is a different maker, perhaps Dugan, or a less common variant.

This elegantly shaped piece is beautifully decorated with a relief pattern featuring four grape clusters and five leaves hanging from a vine which stylishly surrounds a central leaf. Unusually this piece features four clusters of hanging grape bunches as opposed to the five that would generally be seen on Fenton 6 bowls, so it has left us a little baffled as to the maker. This piece has a magnificently rich and lustrous iridescent green finish which glistens with delightful golden iridescent tones, the colours appearing to change as the light dances over the stylishly curved form.

The base glass colour is a lovely rich green. SIZE: This superb bowl measures approx 150mms or just a speck under 6 in diameter and stands 45mms tall. CONDITION: This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.

There is one absolutely minuscule fleabite sized pin prick to one of the raised ridges of the paneled pattern to the underside noticeable only on extremely close examination but mentioned for complete accuracy. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. This exquisite bowl would make an outstanding addition to any quality antique carnival glass collection!
