Indiana Carnival Glass, Punch Bowl & Cups, Set Of 12 Blue Iridescence, Excellent
The set is a Princess punch bowl with 12 cups and the pattern is known as "Harvest". The punch bowl measures 12 1/4" outside diameter of the rim of the bowl and 11 5/8" inside diameter which means this bowl is a little over 1/4 thick. It measures approximately 7" tall and has a base of 4 5/16" wide. The cups measure 2 3/8" high and 3 3/8" in diameter. They have a base of 1 11/16 wide.
The punch bowl depicts a pattern of grape clusters and leaves with vine trails along the outer rim of the vessel. The rim of the bowl has a heavy saw tooth edge treatment and the iridescence on this large piece is just wonderful. The cups are decorated in a complimentary fashion with large grape leaves on the front and rear of the exterior of the cup as well as a cluster of grapes on the side opposing side of the "C" shaped handle.
The cups also have a lovely iridescence and this set is done in blue. The set is in excellent condition as there are no nicks, chips, cracks or dings.
There is one cup that has fleck of glass next to the mold line on the bottom but it has iridescence in it which tells me this was done at the factory. This punch bowl would certainly make a lovely statement at a holiday party or special occasion. The pieces are unsigned but guaranteed to be Indiana Glass done in the "Harvest" pattern.
